2022 IRENA Public-Private Dialogue Renewable Energy and Circular Economy
The fifth edition of the IRENA Public-Private Dialogue convened policy makers, industry associations, private sector stakeholders and civil society to explore ongoing and planned efforts to promote circular economy and end-of-life management for renewables. The first session provided an industry perspective on what is needed to advance sustainable life-cycle practices and resource efficiency for renewables as the energy transition accelerates. The second session showcased public and private actors’ insights on policy actions urgently needed from governments and the energy industry to accelerate global progress towards unlocking the benefits of a truly sustainable renewable energy sector.
