The workshop aimed to help countries collect, validate and analyse renewable energy statistics, following international best practices and the internationally agreed definitions and methodologies used for energy statistics.

The main objective of the workshop was to bring all the key stakeholders of the energy sector in Sudan together to validate and discuss various topics related to energy data management in Sudan.

The virtual event featured the official launch of the Renewables Readiness Assessment (RRA) Jordan. The event served as a platform to highlight a number of important topics relevant to renewable energy development in Jordan amongst government officials, partners and other stakeholders to promote the implementation of the recommendations made in the RRA report.

The eleventh session of the Assembly took place on 18 and 21 January 2021 in a virtual setting. The Assembly is the Agency’s supreme decision-making body.

This three-day technical training on renewable energy statistics is aimed at energy statisticians from across the region with the objective of improving the availability and quality of national renewable energy statistics.

The workshop helped countries in the Pacific collect, validate and analyse renewable energy statistics, following international best practices and the internationally agreed definitions and methodologies used for energy statistics.

This workshop will be the first among multiple stakeholder engagement workshops planned as part of IRENA’s ongoing statistics support for NDC enhancement in Sudan.
